Requested by the mother-to-be, a black and white baby quilt. Seems high contrast items are easy for a baby to see and stimulate them.
I’ve heard many times how baby quilts should be soft pastel colours but who is going to argue with a soon-to-be-mom who has specialized education in early childhood development.
The pattern is called Adam’s Rib and was in Summer 2013 Easy Quilts. It is available here . Strangely I did not alter the pattern other than to make it a generous crib sized quilt.
This post is participating in a link up party here
That is definitely ‘high contrast’. *smile* Even though it is only done in black and white, it’s almost TOO stimulating for the eyes. I really like it!
Thanks Bonnie! I’m really pleased with how it turned out.
When you find the issue of Quiltmaker for the Big Block Star baby quilt would you let us know ?
Love,Love the Black and White baby quilt 🙂
Dot, I’ll definitely make sure to let you know. I’ll try to go through the magazines in the next couple of days.
I found it – randomly grabbed an unsorted pile of old Quiltmaker magazines and it was in the second magazine I opened!
