*Gasp* A black and white baby quilt.

By | January 2, 2015

Requested by the mother-to-be, a black and white baby quilt.  Seems high contrast items are easy for a baby to see and stimulate them.

black_and_white_baby_quiltI’ve heard many times how baby quilts should be soft pastel colours but who is going to argue with a soon-to-be-mom who has specialized education in early childhood development.

The pattern is called Adam’s Rib and was in Summer 2013 Easy Quilts. It is available here .  Strangely I did not alter the pattern other than to make it a generous crib sized quilt.

This post is participating in a link up party here

That is definitely ‘high contrast’. *smile* Even though it is only done in black and white, it’s almost TOO stimulating for the eyes. I really like it!

Dot, I’ll definitely make sure to let you know. I’ll try to go through the magazines in the next couple of days.

I found it – randomly grabbed an unsorted pile of old Quiltmaker magazines and it was in the second magazine I opened!

Quiltmaker September/October 2000, the pattern name is Antonio’s Star.
