I’m still quilting even if I’ve not been blogging about it recently. I’m not quite sure why I stopped updating my blog but regardless of the reasons, I’m planning to be more active blogging this year!
Here are some of my recent creations!
A table runner made using the Sew Kind of Wonderful Curved Ruler. I took a workshop to learn how to make this and am very pleased with the result. And see, I even attempted some fancier quilting!
I loved the colours of the 2022-2023 mystery quilt by Bonnie Hunter so I decided to participate this year. Amazingly, I actually managed to keep up with the clues and have the top finished per her instructions within a few days of the reveal. That has never happened before and probably will never happen again! I’m going to add an additional border to make this quilt the right size for my queen sized bed.
Some time ago I started to make the blocks for Bonnie Hunter’s Triple Treat quilt. I decided to make half of each block black rather than scrappy to bring a bit of order out of the chaos that totally scrappy can produce. I got on a roll and made enough of these blocks for two lap quilts. Here are my layouts:
A few years ago I started a quilt I called Highlight Your Fabric and got as far as completing the centre of the quilt. Finally, this past fall I added two borders to complete the flimsy.
Just last week, I took a class on making a tote bag similar to the Mondo Bag. I made it in Kaffe and absolutely love how it turned out!
I’m sure there are a few projects that I’ve worked on that I’ve not included above. I’ll leave the for another post!
So impressed with your Chilhowie quilt finish…..especially finishing so quickly!
Your pretty runner is inspiring me to learn to use my curved ruler. I know I can do it…I used to make clothes and setting in sleeves never scared me! Thanks for the encouraging post!
Beautiful quilts, well done! I love the black blocks on Triple Treat quilt, pretty layouts!
Thank you so much for sharing, and linking up 😉
I too am making good progress on the Chilhowie mystery. . .I’ve never been so close to a finished top so soon after the reveal either! I love your triple treat layouts. Your poinsettia runner is terrific! What great projects you’ve played with!
Wow so many finishes! I guess that’s what you’ve been doing instead of blogging. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
Very pretty tops you’re showing! Keep on quilting!
It’s good to see that you are still quilting and those are some fabulous projects!
Love them all, so happy to see your scrappy goodness again. I had to take a bit of a break from blogging for a while too. Look the heck out world, we’re back! Thank you for linking up.
Well, that was a lot. I feel like I was at an all-you-can-eat buffet for my eyes 🙂 Very happy that I stopped by. Thanks to the links on Jennifer’s page. Wishing you lots of creativity in February. You know, Yvonne, if you feel that your blogging mojo is sliding, I can always send you a pattern to test 😀
