Potholders

A simple yet practical project. They make a nice gift.

I found the instructions on this web tutorial here

Of course, I made a few changes. I changed the size to 8 inches. I found the 10 inches recommended to be too big.  I used some narrow bias binding to create a hanging loop and sewed that in when making the potholder.  I also found that using the walking foot on the sewing machine made it sew up easier than using a regular foot.

As the tutorial indicates they sew up very fast!

potholders

I’ll definitely make these again.

Thank you! If you haven’t tried the pattern I used I do recommend it. I was impressed at how easy it was – and no binding required!

The pot holders in the first photo look very familiar. I think that I have ones just like that! *smile*
