Purple Galaxy

Posted on October 17, 2019June 11, 2020

Here is a picture of my Galaxy Quilt top. It’s a design by Deb Tucker.

It was started at retreat last year and had needed the outer border put on which as you can see has finally happened. As this is a bit wider than I like to handle on my home sewing machine so I’m going to find a wide back for it and then rent time on the long arm to quilt it.

That’s one of the prettiest of that pattern I’ve ever seen. I might not have put those colors together, but they are absolutely gorgeous, so maybe I will now! =)

That’s going to be SEW spectacular once it’s quilted up!! In my book, you can’t go wrong with purple and green. LOVE it!

It looks great! I really like how the star points break into the border. Well done. Thank you for linking up to the Peacock Party.

That’s a beautiful quilt top. Do you often rent a long arm? I used a long arm twice, and found it difficult, so different from FMQ on my domestic machine. And, I’m full of questions today after reading your post – do you own and use many of Deb Tucker’s rulers/templates? I just watched several of her videos, and am fascinated by her designs and process.

Hi Yvonne! Wowee – this is gorgeous! The colors you chose really compliment each other so nicely. I’m so glad you are going to get this finished. I’ve never rented time on a longarm, and I don’t even know if there is a place nearby that I could do so, but that should make the quilting process go quicker. ~smile~ Roseanne
