Simple and Fun Charity Quilting for my Quilt Guild

Posted on September 29, 2021September 30, 2021

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I had a blogging funk and then my blog had issues and refused to accept new posts. i finally admitted defeat and was able to get my technically savvy husband to deal with the problems I was having. Have I mentioned I adore my geeky man? So what have I been up to lately? Well I’ve been up to some simple and fun charity quilting for my quilt guild! Some I pieced but not all of them.

Mine first!

The squares for this I -spy quilt were from the guild and the other fabric was from my stash. This was so easy and so much fun to make. I hope the recipient will love it! It’s all ready to donate!

I just did the free motion quilting and binding on this fabulously scrappy quilt top donated to the guild. I recognise some fabrics in it as they are my stash! It too is ready to donate!

And the same for this one! I just did the binding and quilting.

Isn’t this one so fun? Again I just did the quilting and binding.

And one more:

I barely had to do anything to finish this quilt as it just needed a bit more quilting added to it and the binding made and applied. I’m certain this will be cherished by the child who receives it

Here is my latest charity quilt in progress

This is the same quilt I made earlier this year, but in a slightly different colourway. There are definitely more of these in my future. It needs to be sandwiched quilted and bound. I’m hoping this weekend.

I’m having so much fun making or finish these simple and fun charity quilts for my quilt guild and I’m already planning to make a few more!

Love the green and cream/white Quilt and of course the multi color star blocks. Looks like the green one is on the bucklist. Is there a pattern or did you wing it?

What a lovely mix of charity quilts! It must feel so good to make and/or finish these, knowing they are going to someone who needs them the most. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
