I’ve not been blogging much but I’ve kept on quilting and would like to share some of my finished and not so finished quilt projects with you from the last few months.
Cinnamon Bars Quilt – but in green rather than in brown.
I like how both the green and brown versions turned out. The beige fabrics in each of the the blocks are scrappy but now that the quilt is together they seem to blend.
This next one features a fabric made for Joann’s as the background. The background fabric is from a fabric store in Montreal Quebec and we have no Joann’s fabric stores here in Canada. I have to wonder how this fabric found it’s way north of the 49th parallel and into the Great White North. I call this my Zany Background quilt.
8.5″ x 2.5″(unfinished) rectangles make up this quilt; first into 8.5″ inch blocks then rotated and sewn in rows. Simple yes but the fabric called for that to show it off.
I call this my Chiro baby quilt because I made it for my chiropractor’s first baby expected in February. They still don’t know if they are having a girl or a boy so their registry is predominately grey with little colour hence;
I’m not sure a more gender neutral colour scheme is possible other than by going with black and white. The pattern was inspired by a picture found on the internet.
This table runner decorates a small desk that’s in our front window:
And lastly, two other finished quilt projects – couple of Christmas projects. The first is a table runner made from a tutorial by Missouri Quit Company
And the second is from Quilting Daily and is the Tiny Tannenbaum pattern from Quilting daily and is about 16″ square.
At 16.5″ square when done this truly is tiny but super fun and easy to make.
Have a great day!
You’ve done exactly what the Joann’s background fabric called for; it looks great. Happy New Year!
I think the baby quilt is my fav, but wow – what a great way to show off that unique background fabric! Happy New Year!
Such beautiful quilts! Congratulations!
Super sweet finished for 2021! Wishing you a Quilty New Year!
I love your quilt with the zany background fabric! You had the perfect coordinating colors for it. Beautiful projects!
What a nice array of quilts you’ve shared. Several are speaking to me a bit loudly. (Shssh quilts, I have a ton of UFOs to work on and 2 projects that I’ve had for a while but haven’t cut out yet.) I like the neutral baby quilt too. Hope the recipients love it. It’s fabulous.
Fabulous finishes!
Terrific finishes! I’m partial to the tiny tree!
Wow that’s a lot of finishes for the end of the year! And so lovely too. Love the Christmas projects. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss. Happy New Year!
