Twin Quilts

Posted on February 5, 2017June 11, 2020

These are two quilts for girl at work who just had two twin boys. I was wanting the quilts to be similar but not exactly the same. I’m happy with how the one fabric unites the two quilts.

Friendship Star Quilt Top

Posted on January 28, 2017June 11, 2020

This quilt flimsy has finally been finished. It’s taken awhile but it’s been totally worth it. I started off making a totally different quilt pattern but quickly realised that I had sewn my half square triangles together with the wrong fabrics paired up.  I had no more grey fabric so I couldn’t cut any more…

Oh where did this Quilt end up?

Posted on May 17, 2016June 11, 2020

I was going through some quilting pictures and came across this one. Scarily I don’t remember making it and don’t remember where it got gifted to. A quilt forgotten but for some photographic evidence. How sad. The material in the centre is of dogs, surrounded by scrappy 9 patches and then a narrower plain border….

Swoon Quilt

Posted on May 15, 2016June 11, 2020

Made as a baby blanket for a coworker who was having their first baby and they didn’t find out which sex the baby was. What better than green and yellow – works for both boys and girls. This Swoon quilt is much more pastel and “soft” in colour than I normally go for. But it does…

Bluebird Park Baby Quilt

Bluebird Park Baby Quilt

Posted on July 22, 2015June 11, 2020

I needed a project, to do today, that was quick and easy, and that wouldn’t stress me out. I didn’t want a high concentration project but rather one I could enjoy, see quick progress being made, and feel a good sense of accomplishment. Baby quilts are normally ideal for these sorts of moods. The Bluebird…

Car Themed Quilt

An easy car themed  quilt made a few years go. Turned out pretty cute.

Vroom Vroom Quilt

Posted on February 5, 2015June 11, 2020

I had so much fun making the strippie quilt with Monsters, that I had to make another one: Quick, simple and effective. How can you get any better? I have enough of the main fabric for backing and enough of the green for binding. Now to figure out how to quilt it. Sadly my free…

Strippie Quilt – Monsters

Posted on January 27, 2015June 11, 2020

I needed a quick and easy project to do both to satisfy my creative side and to actually get some fabric used up. I wanted a simple quilt that worked with one of the many novelty fabrics that I’ve found over the years and something that didn’t take a lot of concentration or time.  This is…

Red, White and Blue Baby Quilt.

Posted on January 11, 2015June 11, 2020

Here is a crib quilt I made a few years ago.    One of the purposes of this blog is to record the quilts I have made. Sadly I’m not sure where I got the pattern as this is one I’d love to make again. It was backed with polar fleece and is technically not…

Destined for Project Linus Canada

Posted on January 6, 2015June 11, 2020

I honestly have no idea where I got the pattern for this quilt. I found the flimsy in my stash when looking for something else and can’t remember much more than doing it. I think I enlarged a smaller block to come up with it. The quilt is destined for http://www.projectlinuscanada.org/ and will go to…
