When I pulled apart the almost finished Bonnie Hunter Rick Rack Nines quilt from her Adventures with Leaders and Enders book, I ended up making 7 smaller quilt tops from it. This is the second of the quilts that have been completed. The 9 patches were from the torn apart quilt and I added the… Read More »
We finally quilted En Provence the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt from 2016/2017. I did the quilt in her colourway and am quite pleased with how it turned out. Marc helped me quilt it and on the long arms that Whirls and Swirls rent out by the hour. Now to trim it, make binding, apply it… Read More »
This quilt is made from a block by Bonnie Hunter featured her Addicted to Scraps column in Quiltmaker magazine called Idaho Square Dance. It’s made in blues and creams/whites from my stash. The quilt ended up 93″ inches square. It has been gifted to a dear friend. If my math is right there are 2,763… Read More »
This quilt, from Bonnie Hunter’s blog, is called Scrappy Trips Around the World. You can link to the pattern here. It was given to my step daughter as present to mark her graduation from a university honours program. It’s a super easy pattern and very fun to make. From May/June 2015 Quiltmaker – Bonnie Hunter’s Addicted to Scraps column, adapted for size, as I wanted to use up squares that I had already cut. Easy to put together and fun. I can see doing this both as a leader/ender project and as an easy fun in between project.
Making some progress on the Grand Illusion Mystery Quilt. I’ve got the top together finally (minus the borders). I am not pleased with some of my fabric choices (especially as it relates to value) but I’m happy with my fabric colours. I think this is one cheery quilt. I’m linked up here. Check if out.
